Write4Gold goes into its 6th round, but before, the 5th one will be celebrated extensively! On events in Vienna, Rome, Budapest, Haaksbergen, the Roskilde and the splash! festival, the “Classics” will take place. What’s going to happen there? – Winner crews and participants of the past 5 years are invited (without qualifying) to produce some high class wall productions in the relaxed atmosphere of a graffiti festival. One highlight for the participating crews of the Write4Gold Classics should be the new judging system. The crews will judge each other. How that works? – Each crew is handed out a jury sheet at the end of the competition. Every crew has to nominate 2 crew members to judge the other wall productions. The Classics in Vienna showed that this kind of systems works well. The test in Rome shows - the new system can be applied to the further categories. We also decided that there will always be one juror acting as a judge host to supervise the judgements and to give a rating himself. Poet73 (GFA) from Berlin will take on this job in Rome.

Write4Gold Classics 2007, what does that mean? We celebrate the 5th anniversary of Write4Gold in 5 european venues. In Budapest (Hungary), Vienna (Austria) , Haaksbergen (Netherlands), Rome (Italy) splash! Festival (Germany)
whos painting at the Write4Gold Classics 2007? Selected Crews who has won or place the 2nd in past competitions Europeanwide.
is there extra space to paint? yes, if you like to paint on one of the classic venues please send a registration via our registration form
who is judging the classic competitions? a local judge and (NEW) the crews themselves. The Write4Gold Classics like to improve the idea of the new judge vote system. The crews have to judge themselves. That means every crew have to send 2 members to judge the other crews. After a summary of all points and the local judge we will announce the winner. If that work we will set it up for the next official competitions.
the winners of the Write4Gold Classics 2007 went to a final comp? No, the Write4Gold Classics are non-qualification events. We only provide some winner prizes which we announce later.
What happens at the splash! Festival this year? the splash Festival provide the venue for the main Classic Event, the Write4Gold World Classics. We invite all winners and 2nds to the splash Festival 2007 to celebrate with us the 5th chapter and to talk about the future of Write4Gold. Of course they will paint for the first Write4Gold Classic Title Holder.
Does that mean theres no official Write4Gold Competition this year? There will be a Write4Gold Competition this year. The 6th chapter of Write4Gold will start in autumn 2007. The Write4Gold 2007/2008 will start with oversea venues like South Africa, Australia, USA, China, New Zealand.
When is the next official European competition? In Spring 2008 we start our next official European competitions! That means for the Finals 2008 the winners of the oversea venues of 2007 (autumn) compete and the next official European eliminations will be in Spring and Summer 2008. The next official final will happen at the splash! Festival 2008!
