GAWKY started break-dancing end of 1982 together with DARCO/GOR with whom he would found the FBI-CREW (joined later by LOOMIT, CHEMNOZ, DON-M-ZAZA, NEON/TFP, CHINTZ, BOMBER etc) in 1985. He began traveling between France and Germany and had a massive influence on the german hip-hop- and graffiti-scene through style and by linking people together. In 1988 he started the famous “On the Run-Tour” together with ZEBSTER/COD. At the end of the 80`s realizing that the” Street is the real life” he was co-creator of “Intox-Magazine” one of the first full color Hip-Hop- Street-Art-Magazine sold in France, which united different street cultures, going from skateboard and BMX-riding to train-bombing and stencil-art. From then on he worked as a freelancer, working for companies such as Walt Disney, Nestle etc. but always keeping the spirit and the aspects of graffiti. He moved to Germany in the mid 90`s and worked several years as an illustrator for “JUICE-Magazine”. Nowadays GAWKY is working on several projects, such as the forthcoming book about the FBI-CREW.
